Janes (www.janes.com) is a world leader in defense intelligence and insights provider recruiting a Data Operations Engineer for its Bangalore office location in India. The Engineer will be responsible for data analysis, data engineering, ETL, creation of data scraping bots using workflow and data visualization using Tableau for Jane's internal and external customers in Research Data and Analysis (RDamp;A) function. This position will report to the Director of Data Acquisition, Operations and Exploitation and is a highly collaborative role and will work closely with research data and analysis (RDamp;A) and product development teams in Janes.
Job Description:
The role is primarily responsible for first line support for day to day running of the sourcing engine and writing of final mile sourcing plugins as needed using Janes JAML platform guided by Janes Technology team
Data preparation and delivery using the Janes data delivery jobs /ETLs
Data Visualization using Tableau that includes data extraction, matching, and preparation of dashboards amp; deployment to the last mile products
Other bulk data feeds needing decomposition, standardization, and structure using Janes APIs / Py. scripts
Understanding various data structure and support the data customization to support analysts need of visualization requirements using Tableau, Power BI, AWS QuickSight etc.
Support the janes SOLAR programs and aligned to the data processing and delivery to JAWS platform and AI models data sets requirements
Technical Skills Requirement:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
3+ years of hands-on experience in Python, Tableau and RDBMS tools
Understanding of data platforms and workflow is an added advantage.
Experience on data modelling, RDBMS systems SQL server, Postgres is an added advantage
Strong written and verbal communication in English
Proficient Communication, flexible to move on projects per business need
Proactive, self-learner
Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have good understanding of RPA tools
