As our new Assistant Procurement Manager, you will work as a business partner to the projects team and business heads. Work closely with the Director of Procurement and fulfil any responsibility as necessary to manage the project objectives.
In brief
- You will have to identify and evaluate the vendors /suppliers for the projects.
- You will have to strategically source for vendors and suppliers for the projects.
- You will have to negotiate with the vendors / suppliers regarding the pricing and the contracts.
- You will have to source for new vendors and materials and set a standard benchmark
- You will have to support in preparing procurement strategy, tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- You will have to support in preparing and analysing tenders amp; allocating work to subcontractors.
- You will have to analyse rates of different products and prepare comparative reports
- You will have to analyse project outcomes and write detailed progress reports, valuing completed work and arranging vendor bill certifications and payments.
- You will have to maintain a knowledge bank of the different contracts in current use,
- You will have to ensure that documentation requirements from project teams to other consultants within the project and contractors are complied with.
- You will have to work closely with selected suppliers and manage the company procurement activities and other tasks as assigned by Project Manager, Design Manager, or Director.
Requirements
- You are a Procurement professional with minimum 4 years of experience in the building construction industry.
- You have relevant experience of working on corporate/ workplace interior fit-out projects.
- You have knowledge in product range and pricing.
- You have relevant experience in SAP or any ERP system software.
- You have a diploma or degree in construction management or a related discipline.
- You are tech-savvy, and have experience in successfully adopting digital and technology initiatives with good negotiating skills.
- You have the ability to work in a fast paced environment without compromising on quality and customer satisfaction.
- You work well under pressure and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
