Key role responsibilities
- Understand the company and various business units, their revenue and cost structures, their KPIs and ROI structures.
- Develop, own, analyse and report the Annual Business at company and business unit level.
- Plan financial budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Establish and control budget, drive financial discipline in the company.
- Ensure business units meet their KPIs while adhering to budgets.
- Review the actual results against the budgeted goals and KPIs to identify and correct ROI variances and re-forecast if necessary.
- Provide analysis and insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
- Lead discussions on improving gross margin, cost rationalization, engage with different teams to improve gross margin.
- Project planning and monitoring.
- Respond quickly to ad hoc special projects involving financial analytics and trend analysis.
- Provide all variations of financial support and advice to management.
- Act as a key decision maker for financial commitments in business projects.
- Inspect and approve all vendor contracts and account expenses of the verticals.
- Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior management and their teams.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work towards standardization and documentation of key processes.
- Develop and publish Board Review presentations and other management communication.
Required qualifications and skill sets:
- Minimum 3 years of finance experience at a leading technology company or investment bank; SaaS experience preferred.
- An understanding of financial forecasting, modelling, and reporting.
- Ability to collaborate constructively with business partners and finance colleagues.
- Understanding of common metrics and cost drivers for SaaS companies.
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.
- Strong written amp; verbal communication skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- CA, CFA, ACCA, or MBA is a plus.
