Raptee Energy is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC amp; ARAI.
We are looking for motivated Factory Planning and Material Handling Intern to join our team. This internship opportunity provides hands-on experience in optimizing factory operations, assembly lines, and material handling processes within the two-wheeler manufacturing industry. As an intern, you will work closely with our team to gain practical insights and contribute to various projects.
Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidates should possess the following qualifications and responsibilities:
• Two-Wheeler Assembly Knowledge: Develop a basic understanding of two-wheeler assembly lines, components, and processes.
• Packaging Standards: Assist in designing internal packaging standards for all two-wheeler components to ensure efficient storage and transportation.
• Floor Layout Design: Utilize AutoCAD to iterate and optimize floor layouts, with a focus on establishing efficient subassembly stations.
• Process Improvement: Identify non-value-added processes within the factory environment and collaborate with the team to eliminate or improve them.
• 3D Modelling: Proficiency in 3D modelling, with preference given to those familiar with SolidWorks, to assist in various design and optimization tasks.
• Material Handling: Gain a basic understanding of material handling equipment and processes to contribute to efficient material flow within the factory.
Requirements
• Enthusiasm for learning about two-wheeler assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate on projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for floor layout design (preferred but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with 3D modelling, especially with SolidWorks (preferred).
• Interest in material handling and logistics.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in engineering, industrial design, or a related field.
