Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Legal Interns to join our legal team in India. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for law students or recent law graduates to gain practical experience and exposure to various aspects of legal work. As a Legal Intern, you will work closely with our experienced legal professionals and contribute to a wide range of legal projects and tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on a variety of topics, including but not limited to, regulations, case laws, and statutory provisions.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, memos, and legal opinions.
- Participate in meetings, hearings, and discussions to observe and contribute to legal proceedings.
- Assist in preparing and organizing documentation for legal cases, including maintaining case files, exhibits, and evidence.
- Collaborate with the legal team to prepare for court appearances, depositions, and negotiations.
- Support the team in analyzing and summarizing complex legal issues and providing recommendations.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization and provide updates to the team.
- Help in preparing correspondence, presentations, and reports related to legal matters.
- Perform administrative tasks as required, including document management and filing.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent. Completion of at least 2 years of law school is preferred.
- Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in various legal fields.
- Basic understanding of Indian laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize complex legal information.
- Proficient in using legal research tools and databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Proficiency in CLM tools like SpotDraft.
Additional Information:
- Duration: 6 months
- Location: Gurgaon
- Interns will receive mentorship and guidance from experienced legal professionals.
- A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the internship.
