Role Purpose

Control Risks is seeking a technical Team Leader to join our Data Analytics team. The Team Leader will be responsible for managing a team of data scientists and overseeing the resourcing and operations within the Data Analytics team. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of end to end technical solutions for Data Analytics projects. They will also lead on projects and support the data analytics team to deliver services and work products to meet and exceed client’s expectation and company standards.

Role tasks and responsibilities

• Managing a team of Data Scientists.
• Ensuring work products meet client and project scope and budget.
• Compassionate leadership to develop a thriving, learning team of analytics experts.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing team.
• Integrating Data Analytics solutions into other practices of Control Risks.
• Futureproofing by understanding and incorporating a breadth of technical knowledge and technologies into Data Analytics solutions.
• Drive profit by reducing cost and increasing efficiencies in the team.
• Generate revenue by supporting the delivery team in proposals and client meetings, as needed.

Requirements

Essential

• 2+ years in managing a high-performing team.
• 8+ years’ experience in analytical or related roles.
• Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
• 3+ years Python programming experience focusing on automation.
• 5+ years SQL and Database experience.
• 5+ years Tableau and Power BI.

Preferred

• 5+ years Advance Excel experience including VBA (ideal).
• Strong communication skills (fluency in English).
• Experience working in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Excel including VBA, modelling and data pivoting skills.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with open software, database, and visualisation applications.
• Ability to leverage technology to solve problems.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while effectively juggle competing demands and evolving priorities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and motivation to succeed.
