Machine Learning Engineer - Content Automation

Job Description
As a Machine Learning Engineer in the Core ML team you’ll add value for our customers by contributing to our AI-centric product that automates processes in the logistics industry. You'll be involved in contributing to and overseeing the design, implementation and deployment of machine learning services into a highly scalable, distributed system along with the rest of the team. You will also work with MLOps, Research and Product teams to implement solutions that resolve customer problems.
Day-to-day you will:
- Improve our Machine Learning product by iterating on existing models, while measuring success in a reliable way
- Innovate on solutions for our customer’s challenges by building new models, taking the ownership of the integration and collaborating with other teams when needed
- Understand and contribute to algorithmic/logical features, spot bugs and anomalies in the system
- Improve existing systems by following software best practices, while keeping maintainability and scalability in mind
- Work closely with MLOps Team and highlight potential scalability issues
- Collaborate with product managers to ensure product-centric growth of ML
- Collaborate with Research Team, design quick experiments to prove ideas
Requirements
We specifically want someone who:
- Has industry experience building and deploying machine learning applications at scale
- Is proficient in Python and a few common machine learning frameworks, including but not limited to Tensorflow, Keras and Pytorch
- Has a very solid grasp of software engineering including coding best practices, system design and testing
- Has experience monitoring performance and stability of machine learning systems in production, e.g. Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus
- Has experience designing and using automated pipelines for gathering and processing data and tracking ML experiments, e.g. LabelStudio, Airflow, Dagster, MLflow
- Has a good grasp of the fundamentals of all major aspects of classical and modern artificial intelligence, e.g. natural language processing, graph neural networks, LLMs
- Is familiar with working on real-world unstructured and noisy datasets
- It would also be good to have the following experience:
- Working in a fast paced environment with a high level of ambiguity
- A good grasp of linear algebra and statistics and experience to apply them practically
- A good understanding of MLOps practices
