The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst to join our team.
Working with our teams in London and Noida, India, you will be taking the lead in translating business requirements into technical requirements for our Data-related projects.
As a Business Analyst specializing in data domains within the fintech and data warehouse sectors, you will play a pivotal role in analysing, interpreting, and translating complex data-driven requirements into actionable insights and strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Architects, and other stakeholders (including 3rd party vendor resources), to drive data-related initiatives and projects that enhance our decision-making processes and drive innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Data Domain Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of fintech and data warehouse concepts to contribute valuable insights into data-driven projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Requirement Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize data-related requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and expectations.
- Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support strategic decision-making and enhance business performance.
- Data Modelling: Collaborate with data engineers and data architects to create data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and availability for analytical purposes.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and improvement within data workflows, suggesting innovative solutions to enhance data collection, integration, and reporting processes.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, data dictionaries, and workflow diagrams, to facilitate efficient communication across teams.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and consensus on data-related initiatives, ensuring that technical and non-technical stakeholders are informed and engaged.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to data quality initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Project Management: Manage and prioritize multiple data-related projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and communicating project status to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
Must have skills and experience:
- A bachelor’s degree preferably in business or related field or an MBA.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience working with data models, data warehouse terminologies.
- In-depth knowledge of financial products, data architecture, and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, etc.).
- Demonstrable experience in administering and producing high-grade analytics from the platform itself.
- Experience operating within an Agile delivery methodology and experience working with Jira amp; Confluence.
- Ability to understand and read API docs and specifications (e.g. OpenAPI).
