Tbot Techno Systems, an IT Solutions and Services company, is seeking to hire a Manager for Strategic Procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing and procurement activities of the company and providing strategic direction for all purchasing initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the manager will work closely with the accounting, sales, and operations departments. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of procurement procedures, best practices, and have a proven track record of transforming procurement departments to achieve cost savings, efficiency, and best value for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop purchasing strategies and policies to ensure the procurement process operates efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company objectives.
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including placing orders, tracking delivery, and resolving supplier performance issues.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on the company's needs, quality standards, delivery timelines, and other factors, negotiating contracts, and pricing agreements to ensure best value.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by all suppliers.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality, availability, and price at all times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to identify purchasing requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and generate reports and metrics to measure the effectiveness of procurement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in sourcing from a global supply base.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a keen ability to influence and build strong relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, procedures, and tools.
- Strong project management and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
