TeamEpic’s first area of practice is in Data Science and Engineering, and we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Freelance Graphic designer to join our growing and dynamic business. This role sits in the Marketing function at TeamEpic, a Packt Publishing subsidiary, reporting to the Product Manager. This Marketing team is responsible for designing and implementing strategies and tactics that will:
- Increase engagement across all of our social media channels, with a distinct focus on LinkedIn
- Continually support our Marketing team, channels and partners with all the TeamEpic print and digital assets they need
- Develop consistent brand guidelines and campaigns to achieve positive brand sentiment.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all design projects, from conception to delivery
- Generate innovative ideas and concepts, bringing creativity and a fresh perspective to design projects through original pieces, infographics, illustrations , and videos
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Content Creation, and Product Development to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Editing and creating bespoke templates for Marketing and other teams
- Develop visually appealing and impactful designs and videos for a wide range of marketing materials, including but not limited to print ads, brochures, social media graphics, website banners, newsletters and presentations.
- Ensure all designs and videos adhere to brand standards and guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and professional look and feel.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to understand project requirements, target audience, and branding guidelines to ensure consistent and effective visual communication.
- Make content engaging by using useful presentation features such as transitions, animations, and much more
- Maintain a thorough and organized file management system, ensuring easy access to design assets, video footage, and project files
- Flexible to work on other tasks such as layouts, designing certificates and slide decks
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and software to enhance skills and contribute to continuous improvement within the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, showcasing a strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity, proficiency in various design tools, and a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools, with the ability to create compelling videos and animations. After Effects experience will be a plus
- Strong command of design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and composition principles
- Experience in creating designs and videos for digital platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters and email campaigns.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate within a team, incorporating feedback and making necessary revisions
- A desire to learn how to create/improve required visual content
- Good Microsoft Office knowledge, mainly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to gauge missing elements, flow of content, visual representation, and overall learning experience
- Knowledge of subtitling and transcription will be beneficial
- Excellent visual and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts and ideas
