Job Description

We are seeking both experienced professionals and freshers with a passion for sales and a drive to excel in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Medical Representative (MR), you will be responsible for promoting our products, building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and driving sales in assigned territories. This role requires individuals with good communication skills, a proactive approach, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Territory Management: Visit assigned territories, including doctors' clinics, hospitals, chemists, and pharmacies, to promote our pharmaceutical products and create brand awareness.
  2. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and key decision-makers. Gain their trust and confidence by providing accurate product information and addressing their queries.
  3. Product Promotion: Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of our products to healthcare professionals. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the products and their appropriate usage.
  4. Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitors' activities, and healthcare industry developments. Provide valuable insights to the sales and marketing team for strategic planning and decision-making.
  5. Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets by generating prescriptions, securing product placements, and driving sales growth within the assigned territory. Proactively identify new business opportunities and convert them into sales.
  6. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest medical and scientific information related to the products. Continuously educate oneself on the therapeutic areas, competitors' products, and industry regulations.
  7. Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of daily activities, including calls made, doctors visited, products distributed, and market feedback. Submit regular reports to the sales manager or relevant stakeholders.
  8. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Pharmacy (D. Pharma or B. Pharma) or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with healthcare professionals.
  • Active and responsible approach, with good time management skills to effectively plan and execute daily activities.
  • Passionate about sales or keen to build a successful career in sales, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare professionals.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proactive mindset to identify and seize sales opportunities.
  • Good presentation and negotiation skills to effectively promote products and drive sales.
  • Ability to work independently, with a high level of initiative and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, therapeutic areas, and industry regulations is a plus.
