  • Planning, assessing, organising and delivering activities and creating customised learning experiences.
  • Facilitating the all-round development of all children, enabling them to reach their full potential.
  • Supporting the development of the children within the EYFS curriculum.
  • Key Person role for a group of children, actively communicating Planning, assessing, organising and delivering activities and creating customised learning experiences.

  • Producing accurate and effective observations to assess the children’s progress and its effectiveness.
  • Maintaining objective, accurate and up-to-date progress records for future planning.
  • Producing termly evaluation reports for designated key children and termly parents’ reports.
  • Each teacher is assigned a Key Person responsibility that aims at: ensuring every child’s care is tailored to their individual needs; that the child become familiar with the Nursery setting and to offer a settled relationship for the child and build a relationship with their parents.
  • Be accessible and available as a point of contact for parents or carers.
  • Observing and updating the child’s care record and tracking their development within the Nursery.
  • Updating the child’s personal development records.
  • Updating the child’s individual planning and sharing the information with parents and carers.
  • Responding sensitively to child’s feelings and behaviours and meeting emotional needs.
  • Providing reassurance to new children to enable smooth transition into nursery
  • Empowering children to feel responsible and involving them actively in their own learning.
  • Supporting physical needs of child not limited to nappy changing, toileting and dressing, settling to sleep, giving milk, fostering positive behaviour.
